How does it work?

Simply register to become a supporter and select the cause you'd like to support. Choose from the 75000 pre-populated registered charities, add or refer a new cause, and then click through to our retailers and start shopping! A percentage of your purchase will be donated to your chosen cause. Remember to bookmark us so that every time you shop online you start through our site so that your cause will benefit continuously.

What stores are on your site?

You can view our complete list of stores to start your shopping or you can search by category or keyword.

Where does the donation come from?

The donation comes from the retailers on our sites. Your cause will receive the full percentage displayed on our website beside each store or product. Percentages vary per retailer. The percentage is calculated from the purchase price. (Purchase price does not include tax, shipping, or handling)

Is it free to register?

Yes. It's Free! It's also Easy and it really matters to the cause you are supporting. You can be confident that you will not pay any extra shopping through CharitySupporters.com in fact often you will pay less with great specials, discounts and free shipping offers. By the way, it's also completely free for your cause too. Register now!

Is my information kept private?

Absolutely. CharitySupporters.com will never sell or release any information about an individual member to an advertiser or cause. The information you provide us will only be provided to your cause if you have given us that permission on the registration page. A CharitySupporters.com advertiser will never contact you. What information is shared with my cause?

When you register you will have the option to share your information with your chosen cause. If you choose to share your information, your cause will receive your name, email address and the total funds you have raised through online shopping at Charitysupporters.com. Also see our Privacy Policy

What causes can I support?

We welcome all genuine causes. That includes your favourite registered or non registered charity, a non profit organization, faith community, school or team. Register now and see if your favourite cause is already pre-populated in our database. Please feel free to add or refer a cause also.

Can I add or refer a new cause not on your list?

Yes, you can support any worthy cause. Start by searching our database of over 75,000 causes to make sure that your cause is not already listed. If you don't find it just click add a new cause. You will need to supply the cause name, the type of cause it is and the city and province where it is located so that we can contact and send them money.

Can I support more than one cause?

You can only support one cause per registered e-mail address. If you have 2 causes that are important to you, just register with a different e-mail address for each one. You can change your cause as often as you like.

What are cookies?

Cookies make your life easier. Cookies are a harmless, but very handy little mechanism by which you can be recognized every time you return to the site without logging in each time. Since most people browse the web via a personal computer, virtually every Web site on the Internet uses cookies to make accessing a site as quick and painless as possible. To protect your privacy, you cannot change any of your CharitySupporters.com account information without providing the password you gave at registration. If you use a public computer, we recommend wiping out your cookies after you finish.

IMPORTANT: Please ensure your internet privacy setting is not set higher than medium as this may block the tracking of your on-line purchase which prohibits us from collecting the donation for your cause.

You are buying directly from our retailer partners as you would normally. Our retailers handle payment, shipping, returns and any other service.

Is shopping through CharitySupporters.com secure?

Absolutely! No exchange of money is made through our site.
All transactions are directly made with the stores as you would normally. Our stores have strict security measures in place to ensure that transactions are safe and customer information is secure.

Should I come back to CharitySupporters.com every time I make a purchase?

Absolutely! Only purchases initiated from CharitySupporters.com website earn donations. Please bookmark our website and remember to come back. Every purchase makes a difference!

How do I list my cause with CharitySupporters.com?

It"s easy. We welcome all genuine legal causes, whether you"re big or small. Your cause could be a Charity (registered or not), a nonprofit organization, a faith community, a school or a team. Your cause must be in Canada or the United States

Is there any cost or obligation?

It's free! There is zero cost for your cause and there is zero cost for your supporters.

Are there any requirements or an agreement for us to sign?

No, we have no requirements in order for your cause to receive the money that will be generated by your supporters on your behalf. We do encourage you to register as your cause's administrator in order to have access to check/edit your pre-populated information and add a 250 word description and a website link. As a Cause Administrator, you are also automatically a Supporter and can shop for your organization and benefit from those purchases. See Terms and Conditions

What is a cause administrator?

A cause administrator is the person responsible as designated by each individual cause to manage their profile at CharitySupporters.com.

Managing a cause profile includes:

editing and adding information to the cause description.
Viewing cause profile which includes current supporters list & donations raised to date
Full access to our media centre that includes ready to use support material to help you fundraise with CharitySupporters.com

How do we edit or update our cause's listing?

Click on "Add/Edit Your Cause" and register as your cause administrator. After we have verified your contact information you will receive a confirmation email allowing you to edit your cause profile and access the cause media center. Your e-mail and password allows only the authorized administrator of your cause to make any changes to your information.

Why do I need a password to edit my cause profile?

At CharitySupporters.com we want to be sure that you are the authorized administrator of your cause to ensure your listing information is correct so that you may receive your cheques.

Forgot Your Password?

Click here and enter your email address so we can send you your password. You'll also find it in the e-mail we sent to you when you originally edited your profile.

How do I keep track of how much we've raised?

In order to see this information you need to be registered If you are already registered as a cause administrator click on Cause Sign In. if you are already signed in click on Cause Stats where you can see a summary of your donation amounts and cheques sent.

When will we receive any funds raised?

Checks are sent to causes monthly, 75 days in arrears. This allows the merchant's time to report merchandise returns. Cheques are sent when the funds accrued total more than $25.00. If an account has less than $25.00 at the end of the month, the funds will carry over each month until $25.00 accrues.

How does CharitySupporters.com get paid?

CharitySupporters.com is paid directly by the retailers so that we can continue to expand & promote our services to benefit our causes. These fees are separate from the displayed donation amount for each store and we guarantee that 100% of the listed amount goes straight to your cause.

How can we see our supporters?

Although we keep supporter information private you can see a list of your supporters who have given us permission to reveal their names to you. In order to see this information you need to be registered If you are already registered as a cause administrator click on Cause Sign In. if you are already signed in click on View Supporters.

How can my cause promote CharitySupporters.com to our supporters?

When you have signed in to the Cause Home Page you will find an entire Media Centre where you can utilize our pre-designed easy to use marketing packages including:

Add a CharitySupporters.com link, banner or button to your website.
Email samples to inform and educate your donors about CharitySupporter.com
E-mail footer.
Flyers and Direct Mail pieces
